MPL Version 2.0 We’re starting off 2012 by releasing MPL 2.0, the updated version of the Mozilla Public License that is shorter, better, and more compatible with other Free Software and Open Source Licenses. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the process. Badges Competition Mozilla is seeking designers and developers to participate in the $2 million “Badges for Learning” competition. Participants will have the chance to design digital badges for more than 60 different leading organizations including NASA, Intel and Disney-Pixar, all aimed at providing recognition for learning that happens on the Web or outside of school. To get involved check out the competition Web site. Deadline for entries is January 17. Good luck! WebFWD Resolutions The WebFWD team share their goals for 2012 and some of the ways you can participate in their efforts to keep the Web open, innovative and at the service of users. Add-ons Compatibility All add-ons will be made compatible by default in the upcoming Firefox 10 release, so it’s crunch time for testing them in Beta, Aurora, and Nightly. It would be super helpful for everyone to install the Add-on Compatibility Reporter and let us know through the reporter if your add-ons are working properly. Mozilla Project Meeting This is the first weekly Mozilla project meeting for January 2012. These videos are great for keeping up with the cool stuff happening all over the project.
